Learning to ride with Biker School Glasgow

Biker School Glasgow are proud to be Scotland's 1st Kawasaki Rider Training Centre.  All our courses are designed around you as an individual.  Whether you are looking to get on a bike for the first time and need your CBT or if you are looking to gain your full licence to ride a larger capacity bike.

Even if you have a full licence but haven't ridden for a while, your instructor will be able to advise you on a course that will get you on two wheels as quickly and as safely as possible.

You will be learning straight away on the latest Kawasaki machinery, the Z125, Z400 and the Z650, depending on which licence you are working towards.  We also offer Keeway RKS125 motorcycles for CBT & 125 students and our Sym Jet & AJS Firefox scooters complete our fleet.

Compulsory Basic Training

Every new rider starts with Compulsory Basic Training, which allows you to ride a motorcycle up to 125cc  (50cc if age 16) with L plates without completing your theory test.

You will move from one element to the next when your instructor is happy you have learnt the theory and shown skills to a safe basic level.

For most completing CBT takes just one day - for those who are a little less confident sometimes the instructor may suggest a few more hours instruction to ensure you are safe, happy and comfortable.

Theory Test

After completing your CBT, if you plan to complete any further training you will need to pass a Motorcycle Theory Test including a Hazard Perception Test before taking any practical Motorcycle Test even if you already have a full car licence.  The Theory Test Pass Certificate is valid for two years.

Theory/Hazard Test - Costs £23 book online at www.gov.uk
